2008 is a pivotal year, Pluto was discovered in February 18, 1930 by Claude Tombaugh; the credit was given to Percival Lowell, who had died prior to the discovery. In August 2006, the International Astronomical Union 'demoted' Pluto to a dwarf planet. Pluto was in at 17°Cancer46' Rx. May 1, 1930, the name was officially adopted with Pluto direct at 17°Cancer38'. Pluto the Evolutionary Journey by Jeffrey Green was published in 1985. Healing Pluto Problems by Donna Cunningham was published in 1986. Pluto was in Scorpio from 1984 onward. In 1995, Stephen Forrest published his book on the topic. Our perceptions on the meaning of Pluto are very recent when compared to the classical planets. In astrological circles in the 1930s, the debate was whether to assign Pluto to Aries or Scorpio. Here we are Pluto is in Capricorn, the sign of Winter Solstice, which marks the lengthening of the day in the Northern Hemisphere. The nights, which belong to the Moon, are becoming shorter and the days, which in turn belong to the Sun, are getting longer. What might the next 14 years bring, let's share ideas. Plutonian is now a part of our vocabulary… Does Pluto transform us, create problems, and intensify us? Mars is at 3°Cancer on the 13th , having opposed Pluto earlier in the month. Mars was at the same degree back in early October and late December 2007. We have plenty to discuss, share your Pluto or Mars story; let's talk about what lies ahead. Bring your favourite news clippings related to these two planets.
