Saturn makes a dramatic entrance into the sign of Leo, where it will stay through September of 2007. Surpassing an opposition with retrograde Chiron in Aquarius as it enters this next evolutionary chapter, this is an important threshold clearing and/or severing time between the past and present - especially for those early born in the fixed signs of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus (including any planets you may have in the early degrees of these signs.) As the past, which is used as the baseline, moves through the "stripping away" Chiron gateway (current opposition aspect - ace of swords in the tarot), the experiences of the past 2 ½ years of Saturn through Cancer learning is currently being "tooled" to fit with deliberate/productive purpose into this new paradigm shift. The very important coinciding cycle of Chiron in retrograde at this time represents the ignition of key karmic threads/relationships with the intent to orient to new choices and create relationship healings both within self and with other. (See above for Chiron position listings.)
In Cancer over these past couple of years, Saturn has concentrated on the responsive restructuring of the egocentric identity, which has included several dimensions-from the personal ego safety issues of inner and outer relationship accessing (the interplay of the subconscious and conscious programming; finding one's "water mark level" re emotional and material realms/environments); to the unit called family, to larger circles to which we are all connected - the responsive restructuring of the ego entitled society.
Saturn in Leo now turns primary attention to a valuable new lesson - that of the taking of responsibility for standing at the creative center of one's own universe - the creative act of being one's-own-self. In order to own self, it's imperative to learn the nature of internal judgment patterns and expectations that create the projected reality, which then determines the sense/experience of self-honoring and deserving. These internal judgment patterns will bow to the contemporary consciousness/Will, whether the orientation is to embrace SELF wholeheartedly and divinely - to bask in the golden glow of radiant Being-ness; or whether the orientation is one of "seeing the harsh light of day". This latter filter activates a more difficult (even traumatic) accessing of evolutionary creations, which is experienced/judged as suppression, rejection, or denial of one's "cosmic birthright". In other words, this latter orientation leads to the diminished ability to harness the potentials of one's own light with gentler teachings. It also brings a tendency to "add density" - to extend or elongate the time spent acquiring and harnessing the contemporary and karmic lessons.
Saturn creates a container or structural definition to allow the light of
contemporary consciousness to be seen. Some will see the encasement/limitation
of the glass, some will see the liquid elixir in the glass - all will drink.
