The Guild was founded October 17, 1991 at 19:45 PDT in Fleetwood, Surrey by 29 astrologers. On that day Neptune and Uranus flanked the North Node in the eighth house. It is an astrological guild after all. We are a Libra Sun organization with loads of planets in Scorpio, and we always gather for a dinner before our meeting and take a social break half way through our monthly talk. Members also tend to arrive and/or leave in pairs. Last month we experience our first Nodal return and this will be followed by a progressed New Moon at 13°Scorpio 32’, the degree of our Nodes is also 13°.

At 7:30 PM Anne Massey will present a talk and a PowerPoint presentation “The Needle of the Compass”—the Lunar Nodes in Action. The luminaries are the two most powerful influences in our life; the Nodes combine their cycles to time not only the eclipses but the unfolding of our lives. The cycle of the nodes is 18.6 years, meaning we might experience five in a course of long life. Nothing works in isolation and these derived points interact with the ones that help define our destiny at fairly short intervals to ensure we keep heading toward True North both individually and collectively.

Where did aspect theory come from? What are the ways to enhance the information available within each aspect? We’ll explore the development of aspect theory and the importance sign and house rulership when interpreting aspects. Attendees will learn how to add precision to their birth chart and predictive interpretations. How the planets gain influence in the chart based on how visible they are or aren’t at birth. Have you considered how the Moon in Taurus varies in strength/influence/manifestation according to Moon phase? Or the time of day one was born? Are you aware of the circumstances in which the Moon sign can be more dominant than the Sun sign? We’ll look at phase, visibility, speed and station of the visible planets in the birth chart/by transit to get a more complete understanding of what’s really happening in the chart.

‘Progressions and Predictions’

Saturday, September 11th, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

After transits, progressions are the most commonly used predictive tool in modern astrology. We’ll look at where this 500+ yr. old predictive tool came from and what we’re really supposed to do with them. The relationship between transits and progressions is discussed so attendees can deepen their own understanding of dynamic cycles at work. We’ll look at the progressed Moon cycle and it’s role in affecting other transits/progressions. How does your Saturn return, Uranus midlife transit, etc., differ depending on your progressions? Come find out! Students can learn techniques to help them layer and prioritise different transit and progressed energies to enhance the accuracy of their predictions about recent, current and upcoming cycles. Dawn is a consulting astrologer, co-president of the Guild, metaphysical & spiritual teacher with accreditation and certificates in Astrology, Counselling, and Spiritual Disciplines. Ancient concepts can enrich our astrological understanding, but they serve little purposes unless we learn how to apply them to our contemporary understanding of our rich subject. The simplicity of some of the analysis is beautiful, however, choosing the tools that work can be challenging. Denise has found it necessary to postpone her talk on the Dynamics of the Family through Astrology. The reason being that Uranus has caused some unexpected changes – one of which is that she is now required to move and due to this inconvenience, she will not have the time or the concentration to prepare for the scheduled presentation.

Instead, Dawn Muncaster will be speaking on the Uranus opposition and accompanying Neptune square which occurs at approximately age 40-42. This can be a time of great transition and opportunity for spiritual and evolutionary growth, or a time of challenges, ‘a wake up’ call from the universe so to speak.

Uranus, accompanied with Neptune has been known to awaken the kundalini power located at the base of the spine, and connect us to our higher purpose. We may experience other dimensions , extra-terrestrial awareness, astral travel, and other unusual para- normal experiences, Transiting Uranus is now in the sign of Pisces which carries a similar awareness that something needs to change, and as we know …Our global community of humankind needs to be the change. Uranus is the awakener, it gives us flashes of insight from the intelligence of the universe, and now is asking us to re-invent ourselves. It certainly is the time for a New World Order.

There are some who may go though their Uranus opposition where very little occurs.
