Natal Astrology, CAAE level 2—Prerequisite: Level 1 Basics or equivalent
- This course is designed to get you ready for the level 2 exam and to be able to do comprehensive chart analysis
- When: Five Saturdays and one Sunday beginning October 2, 2011
- Where: Clayton Area of Surrey
- Textbooks: Sue Tompkins Aspects and Maria K. Simms Moon Tides or another Moon book

Astrology is a complex language that gives us tools to understand not only who we are but how our lives unfold. Astrological charts are more complex than ‘what is your sign’—we have all the signs built in, some are emphasized. The actual horoscopes astrologers cast are written using symbols—we will learn what these symbols are and what is in a symbol. Astrology is an ancient science, and we will take a survey into its rich history. At the completion of the two terms students who have completed assignments and studied the texts, should be able to do fairly comprehensive natal chart analysis. Students will be provided and astrological chart for their date, time and place of birth as well as up to four additional charts for family or friends (additional charts $5 each).
During the first part of the level 2, we will concentrate on learning more about aspects, aspect configuration and the lunar phases. Please e-mail Anne for detailed information.

The Canadian Association for Astrological Education offers structured, standardized exams from Basic Astrology through to earning a Diploma in Astrology. Students who complete the introductory course may wish to continue and learn the other concepts required for the Level 1 exam. Exams are offered once in the Spring May or June and once in the Autumn–November or early December.
Hellenistic Astrology Workshop
Learn about Hermetic lots, and which light is predominant in your life and which planet or point guides your destiny, and which planet guides this year… The cost for a workshop is $62 and includes lunch. You will want to have your Hellenistic chart wheel with you, if you don’t have one you will be provided one. I simply need to know when you register.

Calculating a Natal Chart (CAAE requirement for a Diploma)
- Prerequisite: None
- When: Spring 2012
- Where: Clayton Area of Surrey
- Textbook: The American Ephemeris for 1900-2000 by Neil Michelsen and Rique Pottenger
- Handouts: Full colour handouts about the math and astronomy
- Other: Calculator (basic one), pencil, eraser, and paper.
- Reference book: Neil Michelsen’s Tables of Houses (included in course fee)
- Registration deadline: February 29, 2012
- Cost: $175 (Reference book— Neil Michelsen’s Tables of Houses— included)
Mathematics of Astrology, natal chart calculation and basic astronomy, allowing students to write the three hour CAAE Math Exam later in the Spring of 2012. Maximum number of students for this class is six (minimum three). 604.574.9545 or anne@astrologicallyspeaking.com
Private Tutoring, learn at your own pace
From basics to advanced techniques and tools, Anne is teaching students at all levels—including those wishing to write exams with the CAAE (www.thecaae.com). All sessions over the telephone are recorded and address subject matter the student wishes to learn. Cost for each session is $45. Astrology. The Science. Level 1

Do you know why we can not simply divide people into 12 groups according to Zodiac signs? Do you know that astrology is an ancient science no less complicated than astronomy or physics? This course will give an academic approach in studying astrology beginning with 12 planets, signs, elements, chart types and much more. You will see how planets can influence one’s personality and destiny. You will be better able to understand your character (and that of others), and learn more about your talents & abilities.

Astro-mineralogy
- 2 sessions, 2 hours each. Starts on October 11th

Discover the connection between planetary energy and minerals. Astro-mineralogy includes ancient knowledge about gems’ characteristics (including their influence on human personality and health), suitability of stones for different zodiac signs and rules for wearing various gems.
Astrology of Relationships
- Starts on February 23
- 4 sessions, 2 hours each. Thursdays, 7:00 – 9:00
- Cost: $40
You will learn how to understand yourself and your partner better, how to appreciate your differences and how to use astrological knowledge to create a stable and joyful relationship. This course will cover the influence of Zodiac signs, planets and elements on relationships.
Every student will be given a personal natal chart.
