Taurus is the second constellation in the zodiacal lineup and is the ruler
of the sky from April 20-21 to May 21. It is an earth sign and is fixed in
nature. Fixed signs prefer to act in a way that resonates with pre-established
patterns; therefore, it takes dogged persistence for Taureans to make changes.
Perhaps that is why the first two Sabian symbols for Taurus are associated
with evolutionary change.
Taurus 1 degrees - 'A Clear Mountain Stream'
'The pure uncontaminated and spontaneous manifestation of one's own nature'.
The water from the mountain stream has been conditioned by the forces of nature
and through time has become pure. Here we see a potential of a new life. The
soul is ready to perform what ever his dharma or destiny is. It can take many
generations of families before one member is ready to be purified and perfected.
Taurus 2 degrees - 'An Electrical Storm'
'The Cosmic power able to transform all the implication of natural existence.'
This is a celestial display of power from the soul field. This power can illume
or shatter. The person may be deeply disturbed by 'The Visitation', but the
substance of the individual may be fecundated by the experience.
The symbol for Taurus is the Bull. The ancient Egyptians believed the Bull to be the God Ptah Ancient history tells us the star- bull was in the sky at the spring vernal equinox from about 4000 B.C. until 1700 B.C. and was worshiped by the Sumerians, Persians, Chaldeans and Egyptian's. In addition, the spring vernal equinox was considered the beginning of the New Year. There were many monuments built in honor of the Bull and this symbol was found on coins, jewelry and temple walls. Knowing what you will learn about Taurus, all things beautiful and artistic, can you imagine living in that ancient time? Read on.
When the constellation of the Bull became visible around 4000 B.C., the Bull with its red eye (the fixed star Aldebaran) became Horus, the Egyptian son of Osiris, and to the Persians it was known as the watcher of the east. Once a year the Egyptians sacrificed a Bull to atone for the sins of the people they thought the spilling of blood from a God Bull would also achieve forgiveness. This ancient belief carried through into the time of Moses on Mount Sinai where the lamb was used instead of the Golden Calf (Taurus). Furthermore, this ritual was probably the reasoning behind Jesus' crucifixion. The story in the Bible tells us that Jesus died for our sins; he was the sacrificial lamb, the apparent son of God, who gave his life to relieve our transgressions.
The Greek Myth tells the story as Zeus who fell in love with Europa, the daughter of King Phoenicia. One day as Europa was playing by the water she was a beautiful white bull. When she approached the bull, he knelt down so she could mount him. He then swiftly took off to the sea and traveled to Crete where he made her his mistress and true love.
Taureans are driven by their affections rather than there emotions. They need to feel emotionally and physically secure and stable. They prefer their lives as they are and like the idea of permanency. Change is not easy for Taurus as they are a fixed sign by nature.
Slow methodical, practical, reserved, determined, strong will, patient, self disciplined, persistent, loyal to family and friends, warm hearted and loving, honest, integral, keen sense of smell and touch, love the earth, not a risk taker, like steady routine, common sense
Stubborn, jealous, possessive, slow to change, lack flexibility, lazy, resentful, inflexible, greedy, self indulgent, materialistic, strong personal opinions and closed to other's ideas.
Beauty, art, crop circles, design all things related to beauty, herbs & spices, flowers, plants, perfume, aromatherapy, jewelry, food, comfort
Banking, finance, real estate, environment, architect, landscaper, farmer, horticulturist, craft or wood worker, all professions associated with beauty, aromatherapy, massage, artist, singer, and musician, painter, decorator, florist, own business
The most compatible signs for Taurus are the other two earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn. They also are attracted to Cancer and Pisces. Scorpio is their opposite sign so there may be struggles, but you know what they say 'opposites attract'. This combination can work if the moon or ascendant signs are compatible. Taureans are affectionate, loving, and romantic. They like warm and cozy romantic dinner's, a sensual massage, Romanic music and are so very sensitive to touch and smell.
Those with a strong Taurus energy in their chart, such as the sun, moon,
ascendant, or several personal planets in the second house will be affected
by Taurus and Venus type ailments.
Taurus rules over the include lower jaw, throat, larynx, the mouth, thyroid
gland, while Venus, the ruler of Taurus is associated with the following:
secretion of insulin, taste, touch, smell, the digestive process related to
saliva and the ease of swallowing.
The subtle energies of Taurus are associated with the 5th chakra, also known
as the creative centre and/or the centre of the will. Blockages in the throat
chakra can cause difficulties with communication and expressing oneself fully
and/or creatively. Medical problems may include repetitive sore throats, laryngitis,
thyroid, parathyroid and larynx infections or disease. It may also cause one
to be unconscious to their own needs.
The constellation of Taurus consists of 2 star groupings, the Hyades, which are on the forehead of the bull and the Pleiades, a cluster of 7 stars at the shoulder of the bull called the seven sisters. The brightest star of Taurus is Aldebaran, which is located in the left eye of the bull. Aldebaran is one of the Royal Stars of Persia and has a nature similar to mars. This star tests your honor and integrity, ethics and gives purity of thoughts and actions. This star will touch your life if you have a planet at 9-10 degrees of either Gemini or Sagittarius, 17 degrees of Gemini or Sagittarius, 6 degrees of Gemini or Sagittarius.
The main star of the Pleiades is Alcyone, which sits at 29 degrees Taurus,
and once was thought to be the centre of our solar system. It also is pours
it is energy out to 18 degrees Taurus or Scorpio, and 3 or 4 degrees of Sagittarius.
Alcyone gives one a sense of insight or vision and is linked to the mystical.
All-star clusters in astrology apparently can cause eye problems; therefore,
it is common for those with these stars to experience the same. The other
stars are named Maia, Electra, Merope, Taygete, Celaeno and Sterope. The Pleiades
are mentioned in the Bible in Job 38:31, "Can you bind the sweet influences
of
Pleiades?

Taurus rules land, farms, forests, trees, herbs all things from the earth.
Please be conscious of our planet and treat her with respect. With all the
controversy of the messages of the crop circles, have you ever thought our
planet or some other intelligence may be trying to communicate with us?
Crop Circles are ruled by Taurus and they are in my opinion very real and
represent a language of their own. Where do you think these circles are coming
from? Perhaps mother earth is making them herself as a plea for help; after
all, she is a living organism. Or are they coming from a source of extra-terrestrial
intelligence in our Galaxy? For those in the meta- physical circles, many
books have been written about the messages from the Pleiades, one of my favorites
is the 'Bringers of the Dawn', by Barbara Marchiniak, which I read so many
years ago, but could relate so much to what was said. The other mayor player
from the star system is Arcturus, located on the Bootees constellation. For
12 years now I have been receiving messages from the stars, Arcturus, Pleiades,
Alkes, Acrux and many more, therefore I appreciate so much about what has
been written regarding this and other extra-terrestrial phenomena. I know
we are not alone and feel that these beautiful, kind, helpful beings are trying
to help us save our planet and humankind. For those of you that may be skeptics,
please keep an open mind, for I too was a great skeptic. However, in 1993
I went through a major spiritual transformation of healing and expanded consciousness,
which changed the cellular make up of my entire being. I was a normal person
with a normal career, and in an instant, it seemed like the me I knew no longer
existed and the new me had just arrived. I was changed at a core level. I
have now come to realize that we are in fact mulit-dimensional beings. If
you are interested in Crop Circles and other such phenomena a wonderful film
to see is called Star Dreams, produced and directed by film maker Robert Nichol
