Man asks: Should I pursue the relationship with Amelia?

One way to maintain good relationships with your family is to be a horary astrologer. My family just loves to ask horary questions and for free. I could get away with really bad behavior and they would tolerate it just for that privilege alone. Of course, I am always nothing but very sweet and nice to everyone every single minute and never do anything bad.

So this is a question from my brother who is looking for his soul mate with the intensity that only a Scorpio can muster. This is about the gazillionth relationship question I have done for him. I have studied his natal chart and its cycles and have predicted that he will meet the right person in June of this year, 2005. I hope I am right because this will end the relationship chart frenzy every time he spots a cute chick at the mall.

My brother met Amelia at a party. They spent a delightful time in conversation that day. She seemed like a nice lady so he asks whether to pursuer a relationship.

Sometimes it takes just about one minute to answer a horary question and this is a case in point. Check out the 29 degrees on the horizon; that is the rising sign and Seventh House cusp and also the Sun in Capricorn. The last three degrees rising means that it is too late. In some sense the opportunity is past. When it is 29 degrees, it is over already. The pleasant conversation that afternoon was it.

This woman is ruled by Saturn retrograde in its detriment in Cancer and in the Twelfth House. That does not sound like a barrel of fun, does it? You might argue with this conclusion, because my brother is ruled by the Moon in Taurus. It does complete the trine to the Sun on the Seventh House cusp. Doesn't that bring them together? It would, were it not for the late, unfortunate 29 degrees sprinkled in just the right places.

The Tenth House rules the end of relationships. (The Fourth House of endings from the Seventh House.) The Part of Death is there in 27 degrees of Aries. That is the nodal degree and the Part is with the North node. That is death and disaster if we want to be dramatic about it.

Planets combust the Sun do not function well as their energy is "burned up" by the solar orb. Cusps can be combust as well as planets. The Seventh House cusp is so afflicted. This woman just isn't any candidate for relationship! The Sun has no dignity at all in this chart. That is called a peregrine position. It means "wandering far off base."

I could not help but noting in passing that the Part of Fortune is in 19 degrees of Scorpio, a sign in which it does not perform well in horary, but surely not when conjoined with the nasty fixed star Serpentis in that degree. The Fifth House is the sexual activity involved in dating and courtship. I speculated whether the woman has a sexually transmitted disease. Both rulers of Scorpio are conjoined in the Fifth House as well. What bugs me is that we will never know for sure. Her ruler, retrograde Saturn, is keeping its secret hidden away in the Twelfth House and even a nosy astrologer may not find it.

Footnote: When I spoke with my brother and told him how afflicted her rulers are, he said the woman in question is extremely thin and looked like she is sick. He called and left her a message but she never returned his call.
