Bio - John Rutherford

For 15 years, Western Canada's most successful Astrologer. Host of my own radio and television talk shows, co-author of a program for the H. R. MacMillan Planetarium, and syndicated Astrological columnist.

Host of live, call-in television show in Edmonton, "In Touch." In the first weeks of broadcasting on CFRN, Alberta Telephone said the volume of calls threatened to collapse phone service, and assigned a new phone prefix just for the television station.

Appearances on over 50 radio and TV stations across Canada and the US. Appearances with Peter Gzowski, Rafe Mair, Pia Shandel and Fred Latremouille.

Only Astrologer in North America to work with a Planetarium. Wrote the program, "Astrology: Science or Magic?", for the H. R. MacMillan Planetarium.

Columnist over three years for Vancouver's Western News. Syndicated to 20 newspapers.

Attended Astrophysics and Geophysics seminars at the University of British Columbia for over 6 years.

Operator at the Southam Observatory.

Proficient in the use of the "Instant Horoscope," an advanced form the the Horary Horoscope using Cosmobiology (planetary mid-point aspect) techniques. This technique allows me to answer questions immediately, without reference to an ephemeris, when on live call-in radio or television shows.

Studied Western, Arabic, Joytish, and other forms of Astrology. I combine the influences of the Tropical and Siderial Zodiacs with the latest Astronimical discoveries.

"PLANETS": The influence of the planets correspond directly with their scientific properties. The planets are not just to be used as a symbolic language in the Horoscope. They have qualities, at long last now examined by Astronomers, that need to be understood for the most complete understanding of their influence in an accurate and complete chart reading.
For example, there is a reason why many cultures use Venus when she is the Morning Star, not Mars, as the indicator for a time of conflict. The crescent Moon and star in the Turkish flag is a specific reference to this. The current push for confrontation in the Middle-East is according to the timetable of the cycle of Venus.
There are observational reasons why Saturn is punishing and ram-rod straight, Jupiter is a lusty protector, Uranus is sociable, and Neptune is a pest. Only through study of Astronomical discoveries do the planetary concepts become fully developed and clear.
