Dennis Flaherty is an internationally recognized astrologer of both Vedic and Western systems. He comes to Vancouver October 19th and 20th to present a workshop on the nature of the planets and what they say about our life purpose.
The Friday night session is entitled “Vedic Astrology and Yoga: What the Vedic Sciences suggest of World Events to come.
Dennis will discuss the resurgent interest in yoga in our times and its intimate link with Jyotisha; the science of light, as Vedic astrology is known in the east. He will cast this light on the current stage of world events to see the shape of things to come and how, during these times of darkness and fear, the light of Jyotisha can empower us all.
In the Saturday workshop, Dennis will talk more in-depth about the nature and timing of planetary influences through our lives so we can see how they frame the choices we're presented with to help bring about that which we all seek: rewarding purpose.
As the ancient seers of India revealed, each planet has a particular Dharma/purpose for every one of us on the stage of life, and each expresses itself according to one of the four stations, or ashrams we experience in this life, as well as having a specific time when its energy bears fruit. As the holy texts proclaim: “To know your swadharma, your personal purpose, consult a Vedic astrologer.”
