The Wonder of Color

C-O-L-O-R, a five letter word, is synonymous with Feng Shui. When used well. it will become a magical tool for influential effect on our mood and performance, both physically and financially. One of the ways we select color is by determining what is alchemically needed to create a resulting quality for the balance of the energy in the room.

Now, let's focus on the colors for balancing the energy. Each color acts as a synonym to a corresponding element already existing in nature. Inside of a living environment, 5 different color groups will radiate the energy of 5 corresponding elements. They are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood.

web All vibrant and deep Purple and Red Colors or Sunlight, Candles or Red or Purple light bulbs will generate Fire energy. Fire can improve your fame and recognition when used judiciously. It can also destroy your health and burn everything to shreds, if the element is positioned in the wrong place. The Chinese think of red as lucky. Women marry wearing red. Some people believe that if they have a red door it might be lucky. A red door is superstition, not Feng Shui.

Sand, Brown, Ochre and Rose; Porcelain, Clay, Terra Cotta and Beige provide the energy of the Earth's soil-based energy. Earth can calm a violent temper. It can also create a calming effect on the number of extra-marital attractions or affairs.
Its presence is very powerful.

White, Gold, Copper, Silver colors and all Metals mirror the effects of Metal's energy.
The presence of Metal will dissolve negative energy where the most prevailing destructive energy is found. Such energy predominant that we see a quickly dying rose or experience disease.

Black, Blue and Blue-Green Colors and the actual Water element, itself, impart Water energy.

Water is a symbol for Wealth. Running water provides a continuous stream of money.

When judiciously placed, it can also bring romance into your life. Again, placed to calm too strong "metal" energy, it can stop your back from hurting and relieve you from having car accidents.

Shades of Green, Wooden Furniture and Plants all radiate Wood energy. Wood or knowledge balances the aggression between Water and Fire. It, too, provides comfort. Its effects may temper the energy of a forlorn love. At the extreme, too much Green or Wood / plant energy located in the wrong place will cause small bone breaks.

To conclude:

As color radiates energy, deciding what is a good color or a bad color for a room by Feng Shui standards, can be quite a delicate matter. What colors we like personally may not always be best for a room.

There are numerous ways to explain color; yet in Feng Shui each color's specific purpose causes an alchemical effect with the immediate spatial environment it occupies.

The Feng Shui master's purpose is to measure this unseen metaphysical energy's presence and accordingly, to advise on the placement of the elements and colors to enhance it or reduce it or balance it. The relationship of these 5 principal elements found in nature is the underlying basis for the theory of The Wonder of Color with Feng Shui.

By adhering to the Feng Shui theory of color for balance and harmony, the quality of your life will improve with energy also will feel more peaceful.
