April 2003 Edition

Taking Actions Based on Your Personal Values

April 1st begins with the new Moon in Aries. Now the energy of spring is in full force. Jupiter turns stationary direct on April 3rd and Mercury enters Taurus on April 5th. The first week of April is one where things that felt or seemed sluggish suddenly gain energy. Where you may not have been able to begin or complete things, you'll find now you can.

Aries deals with physical activity. It represents the need to experience life. Taurus deals with money and personal values. It also represents the need to personalize matters. Together, the energy of Aries and Taurus represent the need to take experiences and place them into a personal context. This is a good time to make sense of those matters that were confusing earlier. This is a good time to put new plans into action. There is a more optimistic feel in the air.

On April 14th, another new cycles begins: the Moon's north node enters Taurus. This cycle occurs approximately every 19 years and is felt for about one-and-a-half years. This is an important time period for people who were born September 12, 1984 through April 6, 1986; February 20, 1966 through August 19, 1967; August 3, 1947 through January 26, 1949; December 29, 1928 through July 7, 1930; and March 24, 1910 through December 8, 1911.

The cycle of the Moon's north node deals with real estate in the material world and spiritual values on a personal level. If you were born with the north node in Taurus (see dates in previous paragraph) this can be a new beginning for you. It first occurs around your 19th birthday. This is really a transition from being a child to becoming an adult. The next time period it occurs is around your 38th or 39th birthday when you begin to feel that all you've done as an adult now needs to support the rest of your life.

On the spiritual level, this cycle is about finding your values and instilling those values in your daily life. You'll see changes occurring in educational values taught at public schools. Religious organizations will become more involved in the curriculum. At the same time, science will also become more valuable.

Scientific technology will also impact surgery, especially in the area of transplants. In previous cycles, transplants dealt with the heart and arteries. Now, with the advancement of computer technology, there will be more medical advances that make use of computer chips, especially in heart transplants.

The weather is often erratic during this cycles. If you're planning on planting during the springs month, be aware there may be more rain than usual. Water bills will decline, but plants may have trouble surviving if the water comes too fast and causes flooding. This is especially true around April 16th when there is a full Moon.

On April 21st Venus enter Aries and Mars enters Aquarius. There is a harmony with this energy as Aries represents creating new experiences in life and Aquarius represents a willingness to be open to new concepts. This is a good time period to start thinking of ways to approach your daily routine in a new way. This is also enhanced with Mercury in Taurus turning retrograde on April 26th. Now is the time to see how you can enhance your life with your personal values. This is also a good time to see where you can save money. You may not have all the information you need right now when it comes to financial planning, but you'll still be able to have a sense of what's occurring with the economy.
