Bio
Halifax-based Mj Patterson has studied the stars since 1978 and been in professional practice since 1987. She holds the CA NCGR-PAA, astrology’s equivalent of a four-year degree, the STA Horary certificate, plus a Master’s in Educational Psychology and
university training in mathematics, languages, and computing science. Mj specialises in rectification, the science of reverse-engineering a chart to uncover the true time of birth.
Founder and director of the Halifax Astrology School, she has taught a competency-based curriculum in English, French, and Spanish, co-founded the Astrologers’ Registry of Ontario, the Eleventh House Astrology Circle, the Atlantic Professional Astrologers’ Association, Astrologer Canada, and is Vice President of the International Coalition of Astrological Educators. (ICAE), a non-profit standards body. Her forecasts have aired on CBC’s Maritime Noon and her own CKDU radio show. She is adept at electional astrology: she once called a provincial election against every published poll. Mj loves the starry science, and offers precision, not platitudes.
